How I wish

I can have my own place now and I can start decorating my dream walk-in wardrobe and start buying funitures and utensils!

I was shopping around with Sharon yesterday and came across these pretty plates!!!!

Isn't it pretty??

I love it to bits! I almost wanted to buy it immediately...if not for the constraint of space.

There's these colorful glasses as well.

There are a zillion colors to choose from! (But I guess I will still stick to the transparent ones as it goes better with the pretty plates above)

Think it must be age. I am so excited walking through the kitchen ware department and exploring around like a little kid.

How I wish I can get my own place soon and I can start bringing all these adorable little cuties home :)

Lovely Sunday

The lovely sunday was kicked off with a hearty breakfast at this nice old colonial style building off Balmoral road (I didn't take notice of the name ^^)

Walkway to the restaurant

The entire place is very very cosy and certainly makes a great start to a lovely sunday morning!

I simply love such settings and it felt so calm, relax and happy! Though the sausage doesnt taste very very good, but the ambience makes up for everything else! I would love to go back for for breakfast with my darling when he is back :)

It's such a bliss to have a nice brekkie with your loved ones on a lovely sunday morning!

After brekkie, we went to baby's fair at Takashimaya and other buying some infant clothings for little Oscar, I bought him his first teddy bear! (Will take a picture of baby Oscar's clothing collection and teddy bear next week. It's all so adorable!)

I also bought this very very pretty eyeshadow.

Thanks to Mdm Boo's sharp eyes when she's walking past the counter :) It's a beautiful shade of blue with glitters on it! Love my new eyeshadow :)

When I arrived home, I saw a package on my bed.

My Juicy Couture Iphone cases arrived!!!

Their service is great and the best part is, I placed order last week and it arrived within  a couple of days!

The white one is mine, pink for Melly and black for Sharon! All 3 of us have the same cases!

Can't wait to change the casing but first, I have to find someone to help me remove my Kate Spade casing as being the kiasu me, I closed it super duper tight previously and now I can't remove the case. Hopefully someone is able to help me remove, if not I'll have to wait till my BB is back to open it for me without damaging it.

Hope every day will be as great! <3

Marmalade Pantry

Went to Marmalade Pantry at Ion with Melly and Sharon on National day for brunch and afternoon tea :)

It's my first time dining there as I heard raves about this restaurant. Well, it is set in the middle of the mall on level 3, nothing particularly outstanding. Maybe it's a public holiday, maybe they are short-handed and their service is really really bad. No one actually entertains you when you rise up your hand to call for them, and even when they are at your table, you don't see them smile. There's this rude waitress that abruptly took away our sugar pot without even asking for our permission (we were having tea), or rather, she didn't say a single word when she took it away! Basically just take and put it on other table and just put it back when it's not needed by others.

Hello, I don't think I am transparent. It's so plain rude!

The only consolation is that their brunch is still not too bad.

We ordered "Eggs of any style" and crabmeat linguine before our desserts as Melly is late.

So after Melly arrived, we order a few cupcakes to share. Initially I thought it will be presented in a nice plate/tray but it wasnt. They just place a cupcake on a white plate and serve it, so we had 4-5 plates on the table. So messy.

The presentations were so bad that I can't be bothered to take pictures as I am someone who loves nice presentations and decor. In this area, they failed miserably. Their cupcakes are quite ok, at least the ones I ordered. Personally prefer Elvis (Peanut butter with choco banana cake) and Nutella (the name says it all).

Well, I guess the company makes a difference as I do enjoy myself that day even though the service sucks.

It's always nice to have a girlies outing once in a while :)

Finally

My Kate Spade Iphone casing finally arrived last Saturday in this big box.

Thank you Katherine from Kate Spade for addressing my issue but I would appreciate it even more if the packers could pack the Iphone casing in a smaller box or just slot it into a bubble pack envelope as shipping charges goes by the size of the box which is way way too big for the casing.

Nevertheless, I am still happy receiving my casing that I had waited so long for! :)

Memories

BB called this morning and he was telling me how much he missed our previous holidays. I was seriously surprised and happy as I was just thinking about it last night! He always seems to know what I am thinking or what I have been thinking :)

Though our Japan trip last year didnt turn out well (it was seriously boring and there's nothing to shop.), but we roamed around on our own..make it to the entrance of disneyland(hahahahahah!it was just way too freaking cold for me to step out of the disneyland train!), shop at the convenience stores with a zillion flavours of drinks, candies, chocolates and instant noodles, went to a super far area to look for my blue label and realising that it was out of stock and make our way back to takashimay(we went earlier but couldnt find the blue label, pak jiao!). He never once complain and accompany me willingly. Please note, its willingly, not happily. Hahaha.

having cravings for strawberry cakes just by looking at the pictures!

My BB is a scenery person  aka ah pek taste when it comes to travelling. He likes to see the mountains, rivers, grass, rocks etc. During our time in Japan, the only exciting part for him is our visit to the Sakura Park.

He was all engrossed in all the different varieties of sakura when he spotted my super sianz face. Hahahaha! He wanted to faint when I said I am done with all the scenery after 10-15minutes. He was like, "HUH?!?! we are only here for 10-15mins...... and you are done le ah..........*sad face*, then we go shopping lor......."

I was laughing like mad la..thinking back on how ke lian he is. Then being the very nice me, I continue exploring the garden with him (^_^)

After Japan, we went to HongKong for my Jimmy Choo shoes in Nov! Hahha..thinking back, I am kinda mad to fly all the way to HK just to buy Jimmy Choos and my BB is the only one who will entertain me in my crazy feats.

Crazy queue at 7am

my loots!

Love the HK trip as I get to shop like mad! Finally went to "shan ding" for dinner and it's one hell of a journey as it was drizzling and we didnt know the way up. We walked up the long long slope in the rain to get to the cable car area and we walked for at least 20mins to half an hour! Madness! I walked till I almost wanna force him to carry me up the slope! Hahhaha!

Guess it's all the nitty gritty details that makes the trips memorable.

Looking forward for more fun and memorable trips!!

Last weekend in July

As usual, I spent my weekend at sis place. I've been doing that regularly since BB went sailing.

We went to Sunset Grill and Bar at Seletar airport for dinner as Mr Lai had read quite a fair bit on it and wanted to try it out. Personally I had read alot of reviews on the place and everyone is saying that it's worth the visit and their spicy chicken wings (level 1-10) is a must try!

First of all, the place is located at the ulu-est place I've ever been. Not to mention how happy the mozzies were when the human traffic is high. When we arrived, the queue is loooong and the waiting time for our food is appx an hour! Well, needless to say, we waited.

I was secretly praying that the food would be good as it is quite a torture for me to be in that kind of place for dinner. You gotta stand and wait on the grass patch, cheap and dirty tables and chairs being stacked on the grass directly, warm weather and with occasional stinky river stench and lastly, tons of weird gagas and mozzies.

With this kind of conditions and still able to pull in a huge crowd, the food must be fantastic! Don't you think so? At least that's what I thought. BUT, I was so so wrong. The wings came (we ordered level 2) and the wings are actually more of a sourish taste than spicy! Sour wings!OMG! Disgustiing.

Their main dishes were equally bad. Mdm Boo's BBQ chicken is sour as well! Have you ever tasted a sour BBQ chicken? Well, Mdm Boo did and it's totally disgusting.

Well, it's the first and the last visit. I will not torture myself to visit the place and feed the huge mozzies again.

On Sunday, we went to compass point and grab some baby's clothing! It's so fun! It's the first time we went shopping for baby's stuffs! So excited! Hahhaha.. Mdm Boo grabbed a few sets of infant clothings and some real adorable booties!

Mdm Boo showed me her last ultrascan pictures and baby Oscar is actully pouting (though Mdm Boo is saying that he is actually eating)!! So uber cute!!!! Can't wait for her next scan on 12August :) BB, I will take some pictures and posted it here for you to see k? You will think he's so so adorable!

Baby Oscar, YiYi can't wait to see you! <3

"Quotes" to ponder

Heard this quote from Mdm Boo and I just have to blog it down.

" Men are like public toilet, good ones are all taken and what's left are all full of shit!!"

Hahhahah! Funny right? But it's so damm true. Crude and true.

Guess this world is always unfair and men and women can never be equal. Take this quote for an example, when it's used for describing men, they make good men sound precious. Use it on women, it will be like this.

"Women should never let themselves be viewed as public toilet, no good/decent man will want to buy a public toilet bowl home."

See the difference? Life's unfair but if a woman wants to have a blissful marriage and a man to truly treasure her, above quote applies. At least when something happens end of the day, your husband can't says that the marriage fail because he couldn't trust you based on your history or he thought both of you belong together because both of you loves having multiple partners. This is one of the biggest insult to a woman, at least to me it is.

One last quote that is so so true. One of my personal favourite :)

"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure.
I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle.
But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't
deserve me at my best."  - Marilyn Monroe

Isn't it true? If a man can't or refuse to handle me at my worst, he certainly don't deserve me at my best :)
