"Quotes" to ponder

Heard this quote from Mdm Boo and I just have to blog it down.

" Men are like public toilet, good ones are all taken and what's left are all full of shit!!"

Hahhahah! Funny right? But it's so damm true. Crude and true.

Guess this world is always unfair and men and women can never be equal. Take this quote for an example, when it's used for describing men, they make good men sound precious. Use it on women, it will be like this.

"Women should never let themselves be viewed as public toilet, no good/decent man will want to buy a public toilet bowl home."

See the difference? Life's unfair but if a woman wants to have a blissful marriage and a man to truly treasure her,above quote applies. At least when something happens end of the day, your husband can't says that the marriage fail because he couldn't trust you based on your history or he thought both of you belong together because both of you loves having multiple partners. This is one of the biggest insult to a woman, at least to me it is.

One last quote that is so so true. One of my personal favourite :)

Isn't it true? If a man can't or refuse to handle me at my worst, he certainly don't deserve me at my best :)

Inception

This is a post for BB as he is far far away and totally not able to catch any movies.

Inception is a good show as it is something different in terms of the idea behind it. It is a story about dreams and how we can plant a concept into someone's mind by invading into their dreams and the characters are able to create different level of dreams - dream within a dream.

With a different level of dream, the time for each level is different. Example will be in the first level of dream, an hour is equal to 5mins in reality. Meaning when you feel that you had been in your dreams for an hour, in actual fact, only 5 minutes had passed. So you do the math and you know how much time one will have in different level of dreams.

Sounds complicated? Not exactly if you pay attention to the movie :)

Irritated

I am officially irritated with Kate Spade. I placed an order for a Kate Spade Iphone casing 2 weeks ago and was all excited about receiving it. Maybe I am 'niao niao' but this is the first time I spend US$40 on a casing cause I literally fell in love with it at the first sight! I had never paid such a price for such things!

I was waiting and waiting for it to reach Vpost USA and till today, it hasn't arrived! The tracking link that they provided just shows that the item had reached Portland and no more information! Well, then I drop them a call (Yes, I make a call all the way to the states and waited for 10 freaking minutes before I get to speak with them) and guess what they told me? I have to call the post office in Portland as they had sent it out! They do not even have the number of the post office for me to call. How the hell am I supposed to know exactly which post office in Portland when it is not stated in the tracking link????

They could have offered to help me to track but they didn't! Vpost USA says they didn't receive the package! So now my package is lost? So who am I supposed to claim it from? I had already make full payment! If I don't receive my item, I am so going to complain!!! So angry!!! So much for their great customer service! *fuming mad*

2nd Port Call

It is BB's 2nd portcall today. 2 down and 3 more to go. BB's having his portcall at Oman again this time round and next will be Dubai :) That is the only good part of his entire trip. He gets to visit Dubai (though we said that we will be going there together in future) and can let me know if it is a place for me to visit in future. Hhahahah. If it isn't, I can save the money and go elsewhere ;p

Had already emailed him a few things that he can get for me from H&M if he's able to find it :D Why can't H&M come to our shores??

Looking back, time passed kinda fast. BB has been away for a month and I survived. 2 and a half months more and he'll be back! We had already planned what we are going to do on the weekend when he's back. Super kua zhang right? We will be going to Conrad for a seafood buffet on the very night he's back!

BB, please come back fast and I miss miss u! <3

Hello Kitty Sweets~

Yiyu got these for me from Taiwan =) Love the Hello kitty sweet case. Looks pretty cool right? (^_^)

Had a gathering at Yiyu's new love nest last Saturday together with Ben and Serene. Her new home is pretty cosy and comes complete with a games room!

Her glass door leading to the games room seriously make her house looks more spacious! Kinda envious that she can have her own little nest and wish that I can have mine soon too! Guess it just feels good to have your own home and I am seriously happy for her! :)

Did I mentioned that her doggie, toto, is mad cute?? Plus he's so guai! He didn't bark at all during the times we were there and this is very rare given that he is a small dog. Totally adorable!

BTO for Punggol had ended and I am praying and praying and praying.

Phuket July 2010

I am back from my weekend getaway with Melly at Phuket!

I would say that it is certainly a relaxing trip as there isn't much activities for us other than sleeping, eating and drinking :)

We arrived late at night (11pm) and it's kinda scary and I won't anyone taking late night flights there (especially for girls). There were alot of touters at the airport and they are pretty aggressive. We braced through all the touting and went to the counter that wrote "Taxi Meter" and got onto a cab with a driver that we felt slightly more comfortable with.

We were totally anxious during the ride and it's real late and the road were literally empty with little street lights. We were super happy that we bought a bottle of wine at DFS cause if anything happens, we still can hit the person with the bottle. Hahahha..kua zhang right? But it is that scary.

Finally arrived at the hotel at 12 midnight :)

The room is pretty decent (which is very important to me) and I am glad that I chose this hotel as it has its own shopping mall connected to it.

The food here was so bad that I can't even bring myself to take pictures of the green curry and tom yam soup after tasting the above. It's the start of our food misery :(

We went to Wine connection for some western food for dinner (we had the above thai food at 530pm and barely touched it :( ) at 7pm.

The carbonara tasted a little different from what we normally had in Singapore, but still edible.

Day 2

It's a beach day! (basically Melly just wanna say "HI" to the beach ;p We were there for less than 5 minutes.

Are you able to spot the very disgusting muddy brown sea? I am seriously disgusted by it.

Phuket today is very very different from what others had said years ago. Food was bad (seriously bad) and can't be compared to the ones in BKK at all! To think that I was all excited about Thai Food before I arrived. Service was really bad as well (probably only one or 2 restaurants have decent service) and lastly, even the sea is bad!

Gone were the days where Phuket had deep blue sea. The sea is only blue near the horizon. From the shore to the far far end, the sea is brown. Muddy brown. How gross can that be?!?!? The air near Patong beach smelt like some seriously stinky toilet or rubbish dump and I seriously can't understand how some people can eat n drink at the restaurants with the stinky air.

After we left the beach, we head to Haagen Dazs to grab some yummy ice-cream to cheer ourselves up and also to hid from the stinky air.

We were so upset with the food and air outside and hence, we ordered room service for the last night ( I am a sucker for room service! Hahha)

Well, it is edible though not very nice. But it is cheap! only 700 baht for these :)

We ended our last afternoon with Chang beer. Always wanted to try it and it taste quite good and it's very light :) It's almost as if drinking a soft drink with a light beer taste and it's very smooth.

Guess this is truly a trip just to recharge (we were sleeping 65% of the time) and seriously, this kind of trip, once a year or once every 2 years is enough.

My next trip must be a shopping trip! If not must be somewhere with NICE food!

 

My Little Godson (^_^)

Today is a long and tiring day.

Went over to Sharon's place for dinner and played with Jayden :) One thing I love about boys are that they are super fun to play with! Jayden, being super hyper and happy (he always does whenever I went over for a visit ^^ ), we played like crazy :)

I am truly amazed by the rate that toddlers picked up things nowadays. Just late last year, Jayden was enrolled into a nursery and at that point of time, he could barely speak proper words. He will always mumble baby languages which only babies understand but now, he is able to speak to me in long sentences, tells me alot of things, able to narate what is in the storybooks, asked me to go to church (Yes he truly did! Even Jayden is reminding me, guess I must be diligent and visit the church more frequently^^), and remember what games I have on my iphone and able to find them and play by himself.

Isn't all that amazing? I know toddlers nowadays pick up things real fast but still, it warms my heart when he is telling me 'stories' from his storybooks, remember what I played with him and what I taught him. It's especially sweet especially when I experience it first hand :)

Jayden was sitting between Sharon and me when he was playing games on my iphone and he suddenly stood up and hug both of us! How sweet is that? Hence, I started to take pictures :)

It totally look as if both Godma and Mummy trying to squeeze into the small camera lens and hence the reason for Jayden's face looking so squashed right??

But, we are INNOCENT! Hahhaha! Jayden thinks it's fun to be squashed together and hug us REAL tight when taking pictures! So much so that he didn't realise that his face is so squashed by us that he can't exactly smile properly anymore! Hahahha! Coincidentally, me and Sharon has that "Yeah" handsign which makes people think that we are feeling real proud for squashing his face!

We are truly innocent k! Hahhahaha!
