Camera Woes

As many of you may know, I had lost my Sony T70's charger donkey years ago and since then, I had been feeling a little lost due to the fact that I am lacking a camera (an actual camera and not a phone camera!). A good, nice and pretty camera that I can bring along for trips, outings and gatherings. Well, many might think that, "why not just buy a charger?" But the point is, that freaking charger is going to cost me more than S$120 if I didn't remember wrongly!

With my niao niao personality, spending S$120 on A CHARGER is not possible. I rather get a new one! Heeee..please don't say that I am a 喜新厌旧 person cause I rather spend much more to get a new camera than a charger cause the main point is, the camera that I'll be getting will be NEW whereby if I were to get a new charger for an old camera, that will be silly.

Being endlessly fickle-minded on my choices and with so many new cameras on the market right now, I managed to size down to 2 options. That is either Canon S90 or Samsung ST550.

Colors aside (cause the colors are either ugly or only comes in black. I will bling it up once I get my hands on one. Cant stand such ugly colors for today's modern camera), Canon seems to produce better pictures but Samsung has this 自拍 function which I really like!

Being a newly launched product, S90 is currently selling for a whopping $749 and ST550 is going for $549. I am still not able to decide which is a better one for me..any suggestions??

The Start of my Perrrrrfect Wedding!! (^_^)

What's a Perfect Wedding without a Perrrrrrrfect venue?? A perfect venue is one that makes you feel blissful, happy,brings a smile to your face whenever you think about it and Absolutely proud to announce it to the world! Having THE perfect wedding is every girl's dream and it is certainly MY dream to hold a PERFECT WEDDING (in my very own perception). Well, I guess I am certainly very very blessed because..............

WooooHooooooo!!!! I Found my Dream Wedding Venue!! After viewing at least a dozen hotels and running through a dozen packages, I finally set my eyes on Four Seasons Hotel :) Strangely, I dropped this hotel initially as I was not there personally to view the suite and the ballroom and after going through all the possible hotels, I decided that it's only fair that I make a trip down personally before I decided on its fate. This is the best decision I ever made :)

When I walked into the lobby, I felt excited yet with a weird sense of peace. I was really comfortable (maybe the fact that it is not a very big hotel, everything felt cozy). After meeting up with the sales director, we walked up the swirl stairway that leads to the ballroom.

Seriously when I saw the ballroom, I didn't went.."WAH..............OMG!!!!!" (Maybe it was empty with no extravagant decorations) but I was comfortable and pleased with the whole setup and love their flexibilty of allowing me to use my creativity to create my very own wedding theme using their available resources :)

It was when I walked into the suite, I decided that I AM going to be a Four Seasons's bride!! I had seen numerous suites in the past months and I really like this whole setup! It felt realllllllllllly cozy with a luxurious touch and they are so considerate to have a powder room for friends and family when I can have my own dressing table in the bedroom! Their bathroom is really nice as well and I just love love love the place!!^^

Now, I have the perfect hubby, the perfect wedding venue and what's next? Stay tune! I am a blissful girl!! :D

Be Considerate!!!

What happened this morning on the train further reminds me of why I hated to take trains in the past! Now I had no choice but to take it as where I am staying, taking train is certainly faster than taking cab when it comes to getting to my office! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

There was this super disgusting cum smelly cum inconsiderate ang moh sitting besides me and he stinks! As I do not want to be rude initially, I just turn my face to the other side and try to have fresher air and cover my nose once in a while. BUT, this stinky ang moh is totally unaware of how stinky he is and starts yawning! Well, you may ask, 'what's wrong with yawning?' There's absolutely nothing wrong with that WHEN you are doing it politely aka covering your stinky mouth with your hands when you are doing it!

He is obviously oblivious towards his own stinky stench that he keeps yawning and facing me for that manner or maybe he is doing it on purpose, it certainly pisses me off! I had to tell him to COVER his mouth with his hands when he yawns! He can actually asks me why?!?!?! His gf/wife seems embrassed and is considerate enough to nudge him to just cover his mouth when he does that. I seriously pity the woman having to bear with this stinky man just because she LOVES him *roll eyes* If she really does love him, she should probably force him to practise some personal hygiene before he gets out of the house!

Being clean and smelling good are not only being considerate to others (bear in mind that no one wants to be near a rubbish dump), it also makes your ownself feels better! Especially when you are taking public transport day in and day out, don't make people faint due to your own stinkness! It's a sin!! Especially when you are taking train and everyone sit/stand so damm close to each other! Taking buses may be a little better as if you are lucky, you may get a good seat and turn your face to face the windows during your journey.

Taking public transport is already a chore and please be considerate to everyone to make it a slightly more pleasant experience!

Afternoon Tea Gathering :D

It was a fun-filled afternoon tea gathering with Mdm Boo, Kristen baby, Sharon, Jayden and Cindy at Pan Pac.

It was Jayden's first afternoon tea session and I can totally sense his inheritence of Mummy's sweet tooth as he happily gobbled down 2 pieces of cake!

It was also the first meetup session between Jayden and Kristen and apparently they hit it off very well! So well that Sharon and I had to run around with them! (-_-)" They are happily playing "catching" with one another at the hotel, running and running and taking the lift up and down..Seriously think I am getting on in age as I was so tired after following them for a while and yet they look far from tired!

We are sooooooooo glad that Mr Lai and ah Tan arrive later in the evening as the kids love them!! Finally me and sharon were able to take a break, enjoy our tea and have some small bites =)

It was a great afternoon tea session and we must make sure that the man goes to the tea session with us so they can take care of the babies!!! Hahahhaha!!

GONG XI FA CAI!!

It's Chinese New Year again! Well, this year, I don't particularly feel the festive mood comparatively to previous years..Maybe it's because it's my first CNY that I am not spending at my own house due to all the unhappy issues that had happened over the last 12 months. It does feel kind of weird that I am not eating the reunion dinner with my family aka my own parents and my sister at the comfort of my own home.

Mdm Boo went to HK, Guangzhou & Macau with Mr Lai and they had their reunion dinner in Mr Lai's house in Guangzhou and my dear mum had hers with my grandma. Our initial plan was to have reunion dinner together in Guangzhou but due to unforeseen circumstances, it did not happened.

So after dinner with ah Tan and his family, I went to meet Ade for a drink together with Zhang Guoxi, Jianrong, Lee Ann..etc. So we drank, play the damm 7,8,9 again (I am slightly luckier this time round. Just slightly..arghhhh) and ah tan came down to bring me home. I felt better after that after spending some time outside and having some fun! It wasn't that bad after all! ^^

The very next day, I went for visiting with ah tan's family and it is the most awkward visiting done ever in my life! I reckon that they are not close with their relative (they did not went for CNY visiting for years) and when we reach their house, all of us will just sit there....in SILENCE. How awkward can it get la! All of us practically just mumble to each other once every 5 minutes and this happened at all the 3 houses we visited! My GOSH!!!!!!!!!It's just as if they are total strangers with nothing much to say to each other and they seems happier if we chose to stay at home. (-_-)"

Althought I rarely visit my relatives these recent years, but whenever we do, there's always people chit-chatting away, people making small talks or making fun of each other! I mean, come on! They are your relatives after all! Well, guess I won't join if they are going again next year..spare myself from some awkwardness..

This year, I only played mj once and it's with ah tan, ah quan and Ade. It's the first time I play mj with Ade though I know her for donkey years and it's quite fun! Ade is still a xiao cha bor when it comes to mj table..Hahhaha!

Well, looking forward to more gathering sessions with all my friends in this new year and I'll pray for good luck and good health for everyone around me :)

Upcoming next will be the BKK trip with Mummy and ah tan next Tuesday & Mdm Boo is finally coming home on Monday!I can't wait to see her loots and.... I Miss the food in BKK already!!! :D

Past few days had been really really great!! After donkey years...I finally met up with Moon ;p Hahha..That was the nickname Mdm Boo gave to me and Ade during our school days as being in our teenage years and with Sailormoon anime at rage, We started dressing like one too!! OMG..that was soooooooooo hilarious!! Hahhaha..With our tight shirts paired with mirco mini skirts and ultra looooong socks, we think we look damm chio la..Hahhahaha!

Time flies and now we have evolve to "Piggy Moons" (reason being we are no longer young and skinny)..and we look a hell lot of difference compared to the past (which is a very very good thing!). It felt great seeing your old buddy and felt that things hasn't changed much all these years(she is still a xiao char bo!) and still able to chat about almost everything.

And yesterday, we met up again at the very last minute and after a late night coffee, we actually went to a Thai disco! Ok..I am the mountain turtle who had never been to a Thai disco (before yesterday) and it feels really beng!! With all the music that's playing..OMG!! Hahhaa.. But its quite fun though and Zhang Guoxi is with us! I haven't seen him since 12 years ago! He had changed so much!! Both physically and mentally. Hahhaahha!

And whoever is going to play drinking games with me, PLEASE remind me not to play that stupid 7,8,9 game again! I am super suay at the game no matter how many times I played la! And when I said it's super suay, it's seriously SUPER suay la..-_-"

I am a FIT & healthy gal!! ^^

I had a great great weekend working out at the gym with Mdm Boo..YES, you heard me right. I AM working out. And I meant serious workout like working out on the machine for almost an hour straight without stopping and hoping to other machines attempting to tone my flabby thighs and arms..

I am so proud of my "achievements" last weekend as I managed to burn a total of more than 300 calories!! hahhahaa!! I know 300 calories is like a mere piece of cake to a lot of people but to me, its big deal hor..Mdm Boo, please don't give me that smirky expression on your face if you read this (ok, she burns MUCH more calories compared to me on that day though we workout for the same amount of time and it goes to show how slow I am when I am on the machine..hahha). But you cannot compare me and Mdm Boo as she workout religiously 2-3 times a week for the past month and I just started ;p

Alright..I realised that I am being very defensive..Hhahahah! So after the super tiring workout, we actually went for a swim. And YES, you heard me right AGAIN. I went for a "SWIM" with Mdm Boo at the pool in the club.

*Those who knows me, please stop your eyes from popping out and prevent your jaws from dropping.

As all of you know (I presume everyone who reads this now knows me personally), I CAN'T SWIM for nuts!! With a dozen of kids (swimming lesson for kids had just ended), a couple of adults around the pool area, my hidden talent surfaced and was performed to its fullest! Hahhahahaha :D 

Just imagine how embrassing it is when a pretty lady dressed in a nice bikini, walks towards the pool (with all the kids just getting out of the pool and their parents standing besides it), dipped in gently and just STANDSTILL at where she is (right next to the stairway in the pool)!! I am definitely not going to let that happened! Hahahhaah..So, I just stand right next to the stairway...and pose la!! hhahahaha!! And it so happened that I had a cramp in my leg and was trying to stretch it in the water ( I really had a cramp!!), I seriously look like a swimmer! :D So much so that the swimming coach for the little kids came over and check if I am alright!

** For those who wanna try, please do it gracefully with a super relax and confident look on your face and lean against the sides of the pool :)

Well, after all the posing and serious cramps, I really did try to swim la.. with Mdm Boo's help of course :) I managed to "swim" a little and breathe in loads of water -_-" which is really irritating as it hurts my nose and throat. Guess it will be sometimes before I attempt swimming again as swimming in a crowded area is a definite big no-no for me (I seriously can't pose for that long without anyone suspecting ^^).

Maybe, my next swimming adventure will be when Mr Lai decides to go swimming with us *Evil Grinz*
