Girly Night out!!

Yesterday is one of the rare days that Mdm Boo asks me out on a date! A date as in to go out for dinner and drinks. Well, this is the normal normal lifestyle for single people and since Mdm Boo got married, it's quite rare that we do all these together. Since Mdm Boo is in a havoc mood, it's girly drinking night out!

I seriously can't remember when is the last time we had drinks or party together. It's seriously donkey years ago!Even my ah Tan is surprised that Mdm Boo suggests to go drinking. Hhahaha! But I miss those days man..It was so fun!Hahaha..

As usual, Mdm Boo is always late. I was just telling BB the day before that if I am meeting Mdm Boo or Ade, I MUST be late cause they were NEVER punctual. But who knows, even after I arrived late on purpose, they are always later than me!!!! OMG! I waited more than half an hour for her despite me being late. Waited from a cool breezy night to a super madness downpour then she arrived *roll eyes*. Luckily she brought me my beloved sponge cakes! (Ya..I can be bought over with my favourite food/tibits/snacks. It's in me to be nice. Hahhaha!)

We had dinner at Canele and follow by drinks at Mezza9 with Cindy. I am soooooooo glad that I brought the polaroid camera out as it's really really fun!

Ultra Mini beef burger and they only serve ONE. Man with a bigger mouth can probably squeeze 2 into their mouth at a go. *_*

Our BEST picture of the night.

I love this picture!!! (Mainly because I think I look great! Hhahahahahah!!And NONE of my pictures are photoshopped because I didn't know how to. So what you see is totally what you get. No fakes! :p)

Thanks to Mdm Boo's 'great photography' skills that a third of my face is out of the camera. But I still think we look great!

It was a fun fun night! Drinks + girly talks = Great night out. Too bad Cindy needs to go home to feed her doggie -_-", if not we would have head to ktv for a singing session. Well, there's always next time and I certainly look forward to that :D

Xi Bing

The other day, my office cleaning aunty came and before she went off, she showed me the "xi bing" her taiwanese client gave her and it's super super nice lor!!

Isn't it cute???? (I duno why the first picture can't be turned around) There's a gold hairpin on the box as well! The whole packaging is so damm nice and makes me wonder why we don't have such things in Singapore.

First Layer

Second Layer

It's so nice! Though it doesn't have the traditional cakes and biscuits and well, who cares man! It's all about packaging now and there are a lot more design on its website. So kawaiiii!! Too bad it's only available in Taiwan.. I simply love it!

Ice Cream Night!

What can be more fun than having ice cream with great great company on a hot hot night?

These awesome ice cream is from a shop called "Cold Rock" from Holland V and you can simply add in whatever toppings that you want and they will mix it into your ice cream for you. Being the greedy me, I added violet crunch, waffle cone and marshmellow and the combi is simply yummy!

Strangely, the ice cream (from the picture above) we chose pretty much reflect our character (Melly, Sharon , BB & Me). Melly is so much like her bubblegum ice-cream - colorful, fun and quirky! Sharon and aloy (being categorised under same generation) chose similar ice-cream - the boring brown. And Me, being the (ahem) demure and sweet girl, needless to say - chose sweetie strawberry ice-cream! Hahhahaha!

After our ice-cream treats, we start playing with polariods! It's so fun la..all thanks to piggy moon who lend me her polariod camera :D

Pardon Mummy Sharon..she's trying to squeeze nearer to us and she look much much better in other pictures :p

We were trying to act cute but think we are too detached from the act cute world. All of us just coincidentally give a V hand sign. Hhahahahaha!

Trying to act cute again by pouting. But I secretly feels that we do look kinda cute. Hahhahaa :p

Our most decent picture :D

I love this picture! I am a great photographer! Hahahhaha!

I seriously think I am a little addicted to taking polaroids! It's so fun! Every single picture seems like a little adventure and you never know what you are going to get and you can't delete it and retake again. Can't wait to take more of these!

It's a great great happy night out and can't wait for more to come! :D

Good old days

I bought this yummy(and extremely cute!) sweets from Central and this totally reminds me of my younger days where I can get this kind of sweets (covered in some yummy powder) from any old school provision shops and they came in multi-fruit flavors! It's sooooo old school that even my BB knows what I am talking about!Hahahhaha..

It's quite sad that alot of those old school yummy sweets and snacks are slowly disappearing from the racks and I can't seems to find it anymore :(

I wonder if there's a shop that sell all these old-school tibits....These stuffs really bring back the good old memories at times :)

Very Interesting Conversation

I came across this blog entry from a friend's blog and find it extremely interesting :D

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to his Class on the Problem Science has

with GOD, the ALMIGHTY. He asked one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .

**********************************************************************************

Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor : So, you Believe in GOD ?

Student : Absolutely, sir

Professor : Is GOD Good ?

Student : Sure.

Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?

Student : Yes.

Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent )

Professor : You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, Young Fella. Is GOD Good?

Student : Yes.

Professor : Is Satan good ?

Student : No.

Professor : Where does Satan come from ?

Student : From . . . GOD . . .

Professor : That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this World?

Student : Yes.

Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

Student : Yes.

Professor : So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer)

Professor : Is there Sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor : So, who Created them ?

(Student did not answer)

Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you. Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor : Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD?

Student : No , sir.

Professor : Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.

Professor : Yet you still Believe in HIM?

Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my FAITH.

Professor : Yes, FAITH. And that is the Problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?

Professor : Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as Cold?

Professor : Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn't.

(The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events )

Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat, a Little Heat or No Heat. But we don't have anything called Cold. We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as Cold. Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat… We cannot Measure Cold. Heat is Energy. Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

(There was Pin-Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )

Student : What about Darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as Darkness?

Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness?

Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the Absence of Something You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light . . . But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its called Darkness, isn't it? In reality, Darkness isn't. If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you?

Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is flawed.

Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD. You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought. It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that, Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing. Death is Not the Opposite of Life: just the Absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from a Monkey?

Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument was going. )

Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor, Are you not teaching your Opinion, sir? Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?

(The Class was in Uproar )

Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's Brain?

(The Class broke out into Laughter )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, touched or Smelt it? . . . No one appears to have done so. So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that You have No Brain, sir.

With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir?

(The Room was Silent. The Professor stared at the Student, his face unfathomable)

Professor : I guess you'll have to take them on FAITH, son.

Student : That is it sir . . . Exactly ! The Link between Man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that Keeps Things Alive and Moving..

**********************************************************************************
Isn't this student damm zhai??? The professor must have so regretted to pick this particular student and ask him such questions. Hahhahahaha!! And as some of you may be curious, the student was Albert Einstein :)

Journey to finding my Perfect Gown

Now that I had found my perfect hotel, next important step is to find my perfect gown.

I went to try out some gowns with intentions to be a "big bao" (well, we really are a 'big bao' on that day but managed to get some good quotations)on Tuesday with my BB, Mdm Boo and my dear 'ah ma'. We went to a couple of bridal shops and tried on quite a number of gowns and I realised that, to be a bride, you need to be really SLIM (if not skinny!). I was lucky as I managed to squeeze into all the gowns that I tried but a few were soooooooo tight that I can't breathe! That's seriously madness! I was holding my breathe and so afraid to release it as I am so damm afraid that I'll burst the gown la! That will be sooooooo 'dui lian' if it happens lor..

Gown after gown, I seriously managed to slip into my dream full lace gown!!! But, as the saying goes (according to Mdm Boo), one is supposed to fit into the gown and not the other way round. Though I managed to fit into my perfect gown, but I was TOO TALL for it (I am too tall for it when I am NOT in my heels-_-" )!!!!!! Isn't that ridiculous?!?!?! Now, being tall has its disadvantages :( But then again, the designer should have design the gown to be longer as you need relatively long legs to carry that beautiful mermaid shape gown. And I really think that I look demure, pretty and shapely in that gown! Hahhahaa..the audience present can attest to that! (I am so not shy all of a sudden. Hahhahahaa)

I was so happy when I tried it on as it is perfect! The lace is so so so beautiful and compliments the gown really well.. And for this gown, I can't tailor-made even if I want to because the lace is no longer available.. I am not fated with it after all...

But well, I had seen myself in that gown and totally knows what I want. Guess I'll have to find a bridal shop that is able to deliver what I want. Going for more gown sourcing soon and I promise to upload pictures soon! (I was too excited about the whole gown thingy that I forgot to take pictures..silly me :()

I guess finding the perfect gown and being disappointed is part of the gown sourcing process. Really hope I can find the 'one' that's meant for me soon:)

Cycling Day at East Coast Park

I can't remember when is the last time I went to East Coast Park and especially there to cycle. If I didn't remember wrongly, it should be 13 YEARS ago. Yes, I know it sounds crazy but who the hell will go to East Coast Park and cycle when I can't freaking hold my balance on a bicycle???

And when I last cycled 13 years ago, it was with my volleyball mates and she's so sweet to pillion me though she's like half my size. Hahhahaha! And I always remember my first ride on the bicycle! It felt sooooo good with the wind blowing against my face and while I was happily enjoying the ride, my friend just said," Meiyan, can you please help to pedal a little????" Hahahahha! Well, I did try to pedal la..but then again at times she's going very fast and my foot just slip off the pedal. Poor her..think after that session, she never once mentioned about going cycling with me ever again. Hahhahaha..

Well, so after 13 freaking long years, I finally found someone who has the courage to pillion me knowing that I might just lift my foot off the pedal and enjoy the ride. Hahhahah..Well..who else can the victim be other than my sweet BB?? Hhahahaha!

So our morning started off with breakfast with Mdm Boo, Mr Lai and Baby Kristen at MacDonalds with all of us having a normal breakfast each except for Mr Lai. He actually gobbled now 2 meals and attempting to steal baby or Mdm Boo's breakfast!! Hahhaha.. well, he defended himself by saying that he didn't ate dinner the night before.. Hmmmm *roll eyes*. Well, that's our dear Mr Lai.

So after breakfast, we happily rented our 'lover's bicycle' (my own interpretation cause I duno the name..Hahhaha) and off we went to start our little journey of the day =) Well, after being really excited about cycling (I haven't sat on a bicycle for donkey years), I was realllllllllly looking forward to it.

I believed I KNOW enough friends who cycled but why the hell that nobody ever told me that it's sooooooo freaking painful to sit on a bicycle?!?!?!?!? Or maybe it's just me because I reallllllly don't have much meat on my butt but I didn't expect it to hurt THAT much lor!!!! That freaking seat is so freaking small and how on earth can anyone ever cycle on that thing for long with butt ache?!!?! It hurts so much that I am so afraid I can't sit properly after I am done with cycling. Kaoz. My dear BB simply refused to stop the bike till we reached Bedok jetty cause he says its very 'dui lian' to go east coast park and cycle for 10mins. 10mins with your butt aching every single second feels like 10 long donkey hours can... For your information, I am exactly in the middle of East Coast Park when the journey starts and Bedok jetty is right on one end. It's freaking far and we took slighly more than half an hour to and fro lor..My butt nearly cracked lor..or so I thought -_-"

Finally we went back to where Mdm Boo, Mr Lai and baby is supposedly to be building a sandcastle. So shiok to be standing on my feet all of a sudden. Kaoz..

Taken using sketch mode

Here is baby enjoying herself with all the messy sand and her stylo-milo sunglasses. She is a super clean freak lazy baby who die die must sit on a plastic bag cause she is afraid that her shorts will get dirty though she's already super dirty lor -_-"

I was happily relaxing on the beach chair and who knows..my BB doesn't realise he is VERY heavy lor..just simply walked over and sit on my legs!! I was nearly squashed to death. He is staring at me as I wrote this but, hahahahah! I am not going to remove it!! Bleahz ;p

After we came back, baby suddenly decided that she wanted to go cycling too! So off she went and they did went for quite a while. Initially I still thought that baby is quite good as she can cycle for quite a while...but who knows.....

She can't cycled for Christ's sake! Both Mdm Boo and Mr Lai got to 'roll' the bicycle in order for it to move! Hahhaha..She's just good at ringing the bell non-stop and posing for pictures and look as though she is damm good at cycling.

Look! There she is posing. She really does look like she can cycle right? Hahhaha..Pardon her top for falling off and Mdm Boo being super creative, did this.

She actually use her towel to tie her two straps together! Who would have thought of that man...Lucky she's just a baby girl who doesnt know much about image. Hahhaha..

Well, it is certainly a great way to spend a Sunday morning but I doubt I will go for cycling again anytime soon - unless I bring along my own cushion seat cover and tie it onto the freaking small bicycle seat. Hahhaha..
